Innovations in tooling at Mach 2000
Floyd Automatic Tooling, the UK source of tooling for CNC sliding head machine tools, is launching innovations on both new tooling and technical support programs at Mach 2000. Two tooling innovations have bought traditional large tool features to smaller auto lathe applications; new compact broaching heads and adjustable-float reamer holders. Both these are introductions within the Floyd Flo-Tool range.
Other hardware introductions include Precitool's new Full Form Threading Inserts, which complement their renowned programme for CNC sliding head automatic lathes.
These latest inserts are ideal for threading behind shoulders.
On the support front, Floyd are creating a range of 'Floyd Tooling Manuals' providing advice and off the shelf solutions specific for each make of sliding head auto lathe commonly in use in Britain today.
This is very much in line with Floyd Automatic's philosophy of providing technical support to its customers as well as just selling consumable tooling.
Says Richard Floyd, 'We have come to learn that our understanding of the clients needs has led to our success in providing quality products at competitive prices.' Amongst on-going products, a major theme at the show for Multispindle lathe users, will be The time savers.
Continuing development of the Goltenbodt GWS quick change tooling systems combined with the Schwanog form insert tooling programme are providing more opportunities for users to turn gains in time turn into significant financial savings and offering opportunities, economically, to quote for a wider range of work.
