Coiled bar-fed machine uses rotary tooling
At the IMTS 2006, a rotary cutting machine has a rotary toolhead working at up to 12,000 rev/min and four independent tools to machine parts from 6.35mm coiled bar.
Tornos will highlight an ESCO coil fed machine, representing the company's recent addition of the ESCO product line, at the IMTS show. The ESCO in action at IMTS will be the 'Mach 647 CNC' that combines proven coil fed economy with CNC flexibility and speed. It has a 6.35mm capacity and features a rotating toolhead offering up to 12,000 rev/min and four independent cutting tools for more sophisticated parts.
An adjustable guide bushing permits tight tolerance work.
The Mach 647 also has a powerful straightening attachment.
It is available with a coil feed stand and an automatic bar loader for efficient material handling.
As with all Escomatics, the Mach 647 CNC accommodates round or profiled coil stock.
